How Cloud Storage Facility is Helpful for Modern IT Industry

cloud storage

Cloud storage refers to storage of relevant data in cloud, wherein data of a company remains stored and accessed from large numbers of connected and distributed resources comprised of cloud.
Types of Cloud Storage
According to IT professors of a reputed engineering college in India i.e. Shri Ram Institute of Technology Jabalpur, cloud storage is of four different types, which include
Personal Cloud Storage
Personal cloud storage or mobile cloud storage is a sub category of public storage. This helps in data storage of a person in cloud and at the same time, to provide him or her with access to the respective data from almost every place. Personal cloud also facilitates for data synchronization and sharing abilities across different devices.
Public Cloud Storage
Public cloud storage separates storage and enterprise service provider and does not allow any cloud resource to store in the data centre of any enterprise. This type of cloud provider is responsible for complete management of any enterprise’s public level of cloud storage.
Private Cloud Storage
Private cloud storage allows integration of cloud storage provider and an enterprise in its data centre. In this type of storage, the provider has a sound infrastructure in the data centre of enterprise. Private cloud storage resolves potential threat concerns and assures performance and security while continuing to offer cloud storage benefits.
Hybrid Cloud Storage
Hybrid cloud storage refers to the combination of private and public cloud storage, where few critical data resides within the private cloud of enterprise while at the same time; it stores and accesses the data from public cloud storage.
How Cloud Storage is Beneficial
Professors of Shri Ram Institute of Technology in Jabalpur said that the cloud storage offers plenty of benefits to today’s IT industry in many ways, which include
• Offers the advantage of highest possible reliability and accessibility, along with rapid deployment
• Strong protection based on remote storage backups to fulfil the objectives of data archival, data backup and disaster recovery
• Reduction in overall cost associated with storage and elimination of the requirement to maintain, purchase and manage expensive hardware devices.
