JEE is the short form of Joint Entrance Examination. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts this examination annually for engineering aspirants of India.

JEE Mains 2016
JEE Mains 2016 refers to the first phase examination conducted by CBSE board in India. This examination allows students to get admissions in engineering colleges countrywide. Every year, CBSE conducts this exam via both online and offline mediums. Depending upon the marks obtained by applicants, they get the opportunity to pursue B.E. /B. Tech from top engineering institutes in India.
Eligibility for Application
- Candidates, whose birth dates falls on or after 1st of October in 1991 can apply for JEE Mains 2016. However, 5 years relaxation in age is provided to those candidates, who belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Disabled Persons.
- Candidates passed their 12th standard or equivalent qualifying examination during 2015 or 2014 can apply for JEE 2016 entrance exam. Alternatively, persons appearing in 12th class or similar type of exam in 2016 are eligible for application in JEE Mains 2016.
- Applicants should study minimum 5 subjects in qualifying exam to appear for JEE Mains 2016 Exam.
- None of the candidates is allowed to make more than three attempts in JEE exam.
Syllabus for the JEE Main 2016 examination includes three subjects as Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
Candidates of JEE Mains 2016 are allowed to apply for Paper 1 in both offline and online modes. Hence, at the time of filling your application, you have to select a particular mode, in which you want to appear for the examination. However, Paper 2 is conducted in only offline mode.
Paper 1:-First paper will consists of 30 questions from each section as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects.
Paper 2:-Second paper will include questions from Drawing and Aptitude tests, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

Correct Answer-Every applicant will get 4 marks for a correct answer.
Wrong Answer-In case of marking wrong answer, a candidate will lose 1/4th of his or her obtained marks.
Zero Marks will be allocated to student for giving no answer.
Online Application of Form Submission
You have to submit the online application with the help of JEE Mains 2016 website. For this, candidates have to furnish each detail and upload scanned image of signature and photograph, along with his or her left hand thumb impression. Candidates should also take print out of the acknowledgement slip after they successfully submit the data and make payment of fees, while keep it within safe custody for future references.
Note:-Students should remember that the entire application filling process takes place online, including steps related to uploading of signatures and photos, along with making payment of candidates’ fees. However, none of the applicants is required to send any hard copy of his or her document to the Secretariat of JEE (Mains).

Step 1:-Download the information bulletin of JEE exam and read in careful manner to assure about fulfilment of your eligibility criteria.
Step 2:-Read contents present in the online format as well as mentioned instructions of the information bulletin to apply online and keep it ready.
Step 3:-Keep scanned images of your signature, photograph and thumb impression ready in only JPG format.
Step 4:-Start with the filling of online application form.
Step 5:-Upload the scanned images of signature, photo and thumb impression in the provided areas of the online application form.
Step 6:-Make payment of JEE Examination Fee by using either of the Debit Card, Credit Card and e-challan (generates once you submit details in your online application form).
Step 7:-Lastly, you have to download the Acknowledgement Slip and keep it in your safe custody for any of the future references.
Note:-Candidates should essentially mention their own e-mail ids and mobile numbers at time of submitting their online applications. This is because; JEE official website will send all communications to candidates on their registered valid email id and contact number.
